Capital One Offers Another Way for Venture and Spark Miles Cardholders to Maximize Rewards with Launch of New Miles Transfer Benefit

Capital One Venture and Spark Miles customers can already redeem their miles at any time (with no blackout dates) on any travel-related purchase.  Starting in December, they will also be able to transfer their miles to airlines, giving our customers another way to get maximum value and flexibility from their rewards.

Venture and Spark Miles customers earn unlimited 2 miles per dollar on every purchase, which can be redeemed on any travel-related expenses (flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, etc.). Now that Capital One has joined with travel loyalty partners, cardholders will also have the option to transfer their miles to 13 airlines, which can then be redeemed to book airline award tickets (including first and business class), access points transfer promotions from leading travel brands, top off mileage accounts to maximize redemptions, upgrade existing bookings, and more.

"We know our customers are passionate about traveling and saving money," says Lauren Liss, VP, U.S. Card at Capital One. "We added this benefit to help Venture cardholders maximize their rewards and enhance their travel experiences, so that they can enjoy even more flexibility and value."

Cardholders of Capital One Venture, VentureOne, Spark Miles, and Spark Miles Select cards can earn up to 1.5 travel loyalty points on every dollar they spend with their card. Miles can be transferred at a rate of 2 Capital One miles to 1.5 loyalty points to the following 12 travel loyalty programs: Aeromexico (Club Premier), Air Canada (Aeroplan), Air France KLM (Flying Blue), Alitalia (MilleMiglia Program), Asia Miles, Avianca LifeMiles, Etihad Airways (Etihad Guest), EVA Air (Infinity MileageLands), Finnair (Finnair Plus), Hainan Airlines (Fortune Wings Club), Qantas (Qantas Frequent Flyer) and Qatar Airways (Privilege Club). We also plan to add more travel loyalty partners on an ongoing basis.

The release of the miles transfer benefit is the newest recent enhancement for the Venture card in particular, which makes it an even more rewarding and valuable option for Capital One customers. Other benefits include the ability to earn unlimited 10 Venture miles per dollar on thousands of properties when you pay at hotels.com/venture, and a statement credit of up to $100 to cover either TSA Pre® or Global Entry application fees [1].
